The Town and Country Band will present Music of the Season Saturday, Dec. 9, at 7 pm at the Baptist Church in Churdan, and again Sunday, Dec. 10, at 2 pm at Central Christian Church in Jefferson.
The band will perform a variety of Christmas music, with favorites like Leroy Anderson’s medley of carols, “A Christmas Festival,” a contemplative setting of “Silent Night” with Jeff Lamoureux providing Biblical context, swing and jazz, and more. Jeff Lamoureux will also narrate “Twas the Night Before Christmas” with the band interpreting the well-known poem.
The band is directed by Victoria Anderson and includes musicians ranging in age from barely teens to well past retired, from all over Greene County and beyond.
All are welcome. Free will donations will be accepted.
